Plastic End Caps

Plastic end caps provide a smooth and professional finish to steel, along with other important benefits.

Benefits?

• Safety – cut steel can have harsh and sharp edges, which can cause cuts or grazes to both people and animals. Additionally, these sharp edges can cause damage to surfaces, such as floors or walls, or to clothes or furniture. Therefore, covering the ends of hollow steel with plastic end caps is always to wise decision, and furthermore adds grip and protection to otherwise exposed and oftentimes slippery steel ends.
• Longevity – Plastic end caps also prevent hollow steel facing upwards from filling with rainwater or animal faeces, which aids the prevention of corrosion or contamination to the internal walls of hollow steel sections. It results therefore in more efficient cleaning and reduces odour buildup.
• Appearance – open-ended steel sections can be an eyesore, and gives a well completed job a very incomplete look. Plastic end caps come in all shapes and sizes to fit the ends of commonly sized steel sections like a glove, giving a clean, smooth finish and providing an easy clean surface for those who want their steel to look the part as well.
